How sad is the state of talk radio today?
Sad enough that I was asked to be a guest on a show about modern fatherhood.
I had the pleasure of forcing fellow dads Adam Dolgin of Fodder4Fathers and Lance Somerfeld of the NYC Dads Group along with WebTalkRadio host Meryl Neiman to tolerate my opinions, “jokes” and nasally whine for an hour on the Parenting with Playdate Planet Internet Radio show recently.
What’s that?
Yes, that is the sound of Marconi spinning in his grave.
As someone funnier than I first said, “I’ve suffered for my art, now it’s your turn,” so click to download our ”Let’s Hear It From the Dads!” segment.
But seriously, folks, we had a good discussion about our lives as dads and how the role fatherhood is evolving in the United States.
So much fun that we did it twice.
Adam, Fred Goodall of Mocha Dad, and myself originally taped the show with Meryl via Skype in mid-March. That was an excellent time, especially when I outed Fred for being a longtime troll on my blog.
Which he’s not.
Or is he?
STOP HIDING BEHIND YOUR SHARP-LOOKING SUITS AND ANSWER THE DANG QUESTION, MOCHA DAD!
Unfortunately, like the very first Marx Brothers’ film and my youth, the original show no longer exists. Technology failed us and our voices never took to the tape or whatever it is you whippersnappers record things on these days.
So we did it again with Lance filling in for Fred who was probably doing some exceptionally noble act of parenting or husbandry and definitely not trolling of my blog.
Or so he and the Germans would have us believe.
Enjoy!
What? OMG! This is super exciting!
